Matariki Tree of Remembrance

Hodderville Plant Nursery has generously donated a kahikatea tree for us to use as a memorial. The tree will be held at the Pride in Putāruru office where the public is welcome to attach a paper feather in memory of their loved ones. On the 28th of June, the Tree will be transferred to the Putāruru Plaza for a final day. Putāruru Primary School have kindly allowed us to plant the tree and the paper feathers in their grove as a part of their Matariki Celebrations, where tamariki can visit it for the years to come. Graham Brown & Co have sponsored a plaque to accompany the kahikatea and commemorate our first Community Matariki.
